Dan, This is a really nice , VERY SMALL Reinhard round ball gun.[I have seen FEW others around here in Reinhard's stomping ground where his guns seem abundant.] It has likely been recut. I carefully removed the unnecessary and inappropriate Epoxy bedding found in tangs. The non original lock bolt was oversized in the center, preventing a stable union between breech and stock block : an easy correction. Unfortunately a thoughtless "repair man" monkeyed the tang where the sight is tapped, weakening the tang forever. Such action is typical of the "Modern "gunsmith who ought not handle an antique. All said and done, this is a really delightful little round ball rifle, and does quite well at 25-50 yards. It was never intended to complete with the Reinhard slug rifles. It can be thoroughly enjoyed as it has been passed down to us . Thank you for the opportunity to be care taker and user for awhile!
